How to Play

1. Prepare the Game

Shuffle all the cards thoroughly and deal 7 cards to each player.

Place the remaining cards face down to create the Draw Pile. Turn the top card face up next to it to create the Discard Pile.

Start the game using the side indicated by the setup rules of your deck.

2. Start Playing

The player whose turn it is must play a card that matches the top card of the Discard Pile by:

• Colour
• Number
• Symbol/action

For example, if the top card is a Blue 7, the player can play another blue card, another 7, or an appropriate Wild card.

3. Can’t Play?

If you don’t have a playable card, draw one card from the Draw Pile.

If the drawn card is playable, you may play it according to the applicable game rules.

4. Use Action Cards

Skip: The next player loses their turn.

Reverse: The direction of play changes.

Draw One: The next player draws the required number of cards and loses their turn, according to the card rules.

Wild: The player chooses the colour that continues play.

Wild Draw Colour: The next player must draw cards until they draw the colour specified by the applicable card/rules.

FLIP: The FLIP card changes the game from the current side to the opposite side. Players flip their hands, the Draw Pile, and the Discard Pile to continue playing on the other side.

5. Switch Between Light & Dark Sides

The most exciting part of UNO Flip is the FLIP card.

When a FLIP card is played:

• Flip your hand over.
• Flip the Draw Pile.
• Flip the Discard Pile.
• Continue the game using the opposite side.

The game can switch back and forth whenever another FLIP card is played.

6. Say “UNO!”

When you have only one card left, you must say “UNO!”

If you forget to say UNO and another player catches you according to the game rules, you may have to draw penalty cards.

7. Win the Round

The first player to play all of their cards wins the round.

For extended gameplay, players can continue with additional rounds and keep score according to the preferred UNO Flip scoring rules.
